Lee Raiche

This is Dad - Lee Raiche. He's still working on his autobiography, but he installs carpet, plays music, and runs our shipping department.

Mary Raiche

This is Mom - Mary Raiche, the chief everything around here. She's busy working on toy orders for Christmas, but she'll have her real biography up soon!

Holly Raiche

Hi! I'm Holly. I am thrilled to be part of this family business. I married the owners' son, Josiah, and we are enjoying married life. We have a great time working at Kidstructive Fun together.
I greet customers and wait on them, help customers choose the best gift for a friend or family member, stock shelves, help with ordering, etc.. I am also an expert in helping parents sneakily get surprise birthday/Christmas gifts while their children are there with them! In addition to working at this wonderful store, I teach music, too. I am thrilled that our store carries some beginning instruments. Recorders, beginner guitars, beginning piano books, ukuleles, drums, maracas, rainsticks, triangles, kazoos, harmonicas, and even more! It's fantastic!
Though I love music, my favorite things here are the stuffed penguins! They are so adorable and soft! Oh, and I love puzzles, too. We have puzzles of paintings done by Vermont artist Fred Swan, which are my favorite of the puzzles (maybe with Thomas Kinkade as a close second). One thing you'll find about me is that I have a hard time picking favorites. I have a LOT of favorites. Of all the things in the store, though, I think plush penguins are my true favorite, but the plush jellyfish are QUITE intriguing!

Josiah Raiche

My name is Josiah and I'm the guy who runs the website and does tech support for the store. If there's something that needs to be fixed or improved, I'm the guy who does it. I also run the stores and work doing web design for my brother. I work for my dad with his flooring business when he's busy.
I never really planned to do web design, I actually got a degree in percussion - I play marimba and timpani. I just graduated this year and got married to Holly, and came back to get the website online. Someday we'd like to go overseas and study foreign music and languages.
I love playing music and we're going to start soon at our church (Holly and I go to RGC in Fairfax, VT). Most of my family also plays in a Fife and Drum Corps in Underhill, VT.
If you'd like to get to know us, you're welcome to email or call us - or even stop by one of our stores! We want to make our website as personal an experience as possible, so get to know us. If you find any errors or have questions about products, let me know at josiahraiche@kidstructivefun.com.

Christianna Raiche

Bonjour mes amis! I'm Christianna and I've played...er...worked at Kidstructive Fun since my parents Lee and Mary opened it in 2008. Here are few things our mascot Alonzo Otter and I do together at work:

  • Set up new toys and games
  • Test the new toys (especially puppets) :]
  • Design posters, cards, coloring pages, and signs
  • Design ads for newspapers
  • Help pick out new toys to bring to our store
  • Paint faces at Kidstructive Fun parties

...and a few other things! I also very much enjoy working at my brother Dan's frame shop and art gallery in St. Albans, VT.

My favourite thing in all the world is chocolate. But next to that is ballet! When I was super small, I discovered how much I loved dance - but now I love it even more! I'm also a fifer and fife instructor with Hanaford's Volunteer Fife and Drum Corps (like Josiah and Holly.) Eating chocolate, reading my Bible, knitting, speaking French, running, fencing, visiting diners, playing piano, singing, kayaking, and playing board games and card games with my family are some of my other favourite things! I hope you come visit Kidstructive Fun soon ~ Alonzo Otter and I would love to meet YOU!

Michelle Rainville

Hi, my name is Michelle and I am a cashier at Kidstructive Fun Toy Store. If you were to ask me what some of my favorite toys were, hands down I'd say the toys in the Toysmith bins. Each one is a fun little knick knack that can keep you occupied for hours on end! In my spare time (when I have it) I enjoy reading Victorian novels and spending time with family and loved ones. During the remainder of my time I am a full time student at Plattsburgh State studying Communication Disorders and Sciences. Once I am finished school it is my goal to become a Speech-Language Pathologist and/or an Audiologist.

Esther Thopmson

Hi! My name is Esther, and I work at the Kidstructive Fun in Plattsburgh New York. My job at the toy store varies depending on what's going on; I answer the phone, answer customer's questions, help them find the perfect toy, and help make cool displays to put all the new toys on. I recently got my degree in education and I love all the educational books, games, placemats and toys here! One of my favorite things at the toy store (there are many) are the books. Books about history are among my favorites, such as "True Stories of the Second World War." Not only do I love reading but I also love science, the toy store has a whole wall filled with science kits! You can learn about all kinds of things like chemistry, physics, DNA, light, and magnets. I could go on and on about all the toys I love but that would take too long. So come stop by the toy store and find your favorite toy.

Rebekah Thompson

Hi! My name is Rebekah Thompson. My Aunt and Uncle (Mary and Lee) own the Kidstructive Fun toy stores. I work in the Plattsburgh Kidstructive Fun toy store. My job at the toy store varies depending on what needs to be done. I can restock, put new things on the shelf (which we are always getting, so come back often to see what's new!), help a customer find the perfect birthday or Christmas gift, run the register, and lots of other things that need to be done when you work at a toy store. I often have people ask me what my favorite toy is - which is quite a difficult question to answer when I'm surrounded by so many awesome toys - but if I had to pick one it would have to be puzzles; jigsaw puzzles, brain teasers, and any other kind that will get my mind working to figure it out! I love the fact that we have all of my favorite kinds of puzzles and many that I haven't tried yet. Along with all the puzzles we also have science kits, crafts for all ages, and toys that are just for the purpose of having fun! I love to see new faces along with the regulars so come visit me and Alonzo at the Plattsburgh Kidstructive Fun in the Champlain Center Mall!
